The heart of all PowerVerde electrical generation systems is a Gas Expansion Motor (GEM) that utilizes a working fluid which is heated until it flashes into a high pressure gas, much like steam engines powered by boiling water. The difference is the working fluid in the PowerVerde systems is an organic fluid that changes into a gas at a much lower temperature (160F).

This means that the heat to boil the fluid can be supplied by low temperature solar panels, by low temperature waste heat, by low grade geothermal wells or even by burning biomass.

Solar Heated System

Many areas of the world have sufficient sunshine to run this system. By using inexpensive hot water solar panels mounted on the roof, this system will produce enough electricity to run most businesses. The hot water can also be stored in large underground tanks to allow the system to run after sunset.

Industrial Waste Heat System

Businesses large and small produce unquantifiable amounts of waste heat which usually goes up a chimney or out a duct. The amount of waste heat from our nation’s power plants alone is greater than Japan’s total energy use. That is staggering. Currently, there are no cost effective and adaptable solutions for tapping into this waste heat and turning it into electricity except with PowerVerde’s Power Systems, and we can do it with zero emissions. Never before have so many forces been at work to prime and pave the way for a product launch like the PowerVerde 300 Power Systems.

There are many low grade geothermal areas around the world that could be used to produce electricity with this power system. Warner Hot Springs in California is an example of such a site. Warner presently has a geothermal source that provides heat to the residents of the community. That same source can be used to generate electricity and would provide all of the electrical needs for the development. There are thousands of such sites around the US and around the world.
