PowerVerde Inc. will soon begin manufacturing totally green electrical power generation systems using a patented technology that has been five years in development. These new systems will never burn fossil fuels and the savings in greenhouse emissions are considerable. The mere existence and universal understanding of phrases and terms like; Green power, Fossil Fuel Independence, Renewable Power, Environmentally Friendly, Carbon Neutral and Zero Emissions underscores the desire and determination that governments and their citizens have to develop non-polluting electric generation technology

Alpha Testing PowerVerde, Inc’s 25/50 KW ORC Power System

PowerVerde’s 25/50 KW ORC Power system, designed to create up to 50 kilo watts of AC electricity, operated flawlessly for several hours, maintaining 12.5 KW during an internal alpha test. PowerVerde’s next alpha test will be 25 KW. Ultimately the system will be tested to produce 50 KW.

Company Objectives:

Produce megawatts of electric power by recovering waste energy or utilizing low grade heat while producing no carbon emissions or waste stream byproducts.

Mass produce and market low cost, completely green electric renewable power systems, using heat recovery/co-generation, low grade heat, and waste energy opportunities.

Create new high skill jobs in the United States in the administrative, engineering, technical, manufacturing, maintenance and related fields.

Produce all systems in the United States using materials and labor from the US markets.

Potential Benefits

The PowerVerde heat recovery/co-generation technology will reduce the amount of crude oil imported into the United States. By increasing the efficiency of diesel electric generators, in all applications by 20% to 30% less diesel oil will be consumed, thereby reducing the US dependencies on imported oil and improving the balance of payments.

The company is scheduled to start bench testing of the GPM and field testing GEM third quarter 2009. PowerVerde will hire people from the local areas of Phoenix, AZ, Arlington WA and several areas in Southern California to bring more of the production in house and make PowerVerde less reliant on subcontractors, thereby stimulating the economies of those locations. Our initial estimates are that PowerVerde will produce 100 systems in the first year of operation creating at least 56 new jobs.

There are very few systems that operate in 250KW or less range. PowerVerde’s products are unique in that they are highly compact, portable, rugged, and lightweight. The Gas Pressure Motor (GPM) technology used in the NG applications as well as Gas Expansion Motor (GEM) do not require the use of fossil fuel. The first system only utilizes the wasted pressure at city gates along the extensive pipeline network and the second operates on waste heat, solar heat, geothermal heat or biomass.

PowerVerde Gas Pressure Motor – Real Renewable Power

Natural Gas (NG) Pipeline Infrastructure worldwide could benefit from PowerVerde Inc.’s patented Gas Pressure Motor that uses wasted pressure created by transmitting large quantities of NG over long distances and then dropping the pressure for distribution to end use customers. The machine is only powered by the pressure of the NG and does not use any gas itself nor is there any combustion. The NG enters the intake side of the system and exits the exhaust side and continues downstream. The true renewable electrical power is clean with zero waste stream byproducts. The system operates 24/7 and requires no large tracks of land unlike Solar Voltaic or Wind generators.

As the PowerVerde product generates energy from energy that would normally be exhausted into the atmosphere rather than decreases the consumption of energy. the best energy management practices fall under the auspices of the System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that is managing the sub grid. This technology does not produce any green house gases, other hydrocarbon gases or waste stream byproducts.

Commercialization and Market Acceptance

The PowerVerde GPM and GEM power systems have gone through several design iterations and the current designs are being tested through a series of rigorous procedures making sure the product is reliable over many years of operation and can withstand the pressures and corrosion associated with natural gas or other working fluids. PowerVerde will commercialize their renewable power products by supplying them to end-use companies, such as NG pipeline operations, solar collector farms, co-generation power applications, and other low heat recovery businesses. This will allow PowerVerde the ability to focus on building the finest renewable power systems available.

The motors can be produced and installed for less than $2 per watt. This is far less than the typical windmill or photovoltaic devices on the market today and specifically the GPM and the co-generation systems produce electric power 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, not only when the sun shines or the wind blows. At a cost of $2 per watt, the systems have a payback period of about 2.3 years, assuming a rate of $0.10 per KW-HR.

Diesel generators are cheaper to purchase, but, when the cost of fuel is calculated in, the diesel systems become more expensive after 8 months.

There are no production issues, as the PowerVerde GEM and GPM systems are constructed out of materials that are readily available and produced in the US.

Qualifications and Resources

PowerVerde Inc. is a publicly traded company (PWVI). The company has been able to raise capital in the public capital markets to support the research and development of the systems to date. In addition, several of the investors could also be considered distributors of the products as they own corporations that are involved with data center and gas pipeline operations.

PowerVerde has a senior management team with business acumen, and a diverse knowledge base. The management team has experience managing projects for large government organizations such as the Department of Defense, Department of Interior, and the Department of Energy. The management team is well versed in manufacturing, and has global experience having conducted operations in China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Italy, Germany as well as the United States. They have developed marketing strategies for a variety of products including computer software, vertical take-off fixed wing aircraft, media and television technology, transportation, and electric power generations systems. PowerVerde is a for- profit company, selling power system products to industry, governments, businesses and individual users.

The management of PowerVerde understands the key drivers in the small to medium size power generation systems, and the role they play.

PowerVerde operates out of machine and assembly shops in Phoenix, AZ and Arlington, WA. If demand for the renewable power products became great, both facilities have expansion options that can be executed in short order, and contingency plans for that eventuality are being considered.
